The Film
Created for Food for the Hungry, this campaign film promotes the urgent need for safe, accessible latrines in rural communities. Set in Nicaragua, the story follows a young woman going about her day when she realizes she needs to use the restroom. What unfolds is a scripted, fast-paced journey through her environment — fields, footpaths, and open land — highlighting the daily reality of living without safe sanitation.
Our Approach
The concept uses humor and heightened anticipation to draw viewers in, culminating in the reveal of a clean, well-built latrine — not as a luxury, but as essential infrastructure.
Blending playful storytelling with a clear development message, the film underscores a simple truth: access to sanitation protects health, preserves dignity, and transforms daily life.
