The Film

Filmed in Mozambique, this documentary follows Maria rebuilding their lives after exploitation through dignified employment and community support. Partnering with Free The Girls, a nonprofit working to prevent human trafficking and create sustainable economic pathways, the film documents how survivors generate income by selling donated bras in local markets—providing for their families while building long-term financial independence.

Our Approach

Rather than centering trauma, the story focuses on agency and economic restoration. Through observational footage and a restrained, culturally grounded approach, the film captures the practical realities of entrepreneurship, the role of community support, and the measurable impact of access to income. At its core, this is a story about economic opportunity as a pathway to stability, dignity, and the ability to break cycles of exploitation.
