The Challenge

How do you tell an immigration story without turning it into a headline?

Melvin has always had a passion for farming. After earning his degree in agriculture in Mexico City, he moved to America in 2018 with a simple dream: to work the land.

The Film

Set on a pecan farm in middle Georgia, the film follows Melvin as he tends the land that has become both livelihood and home.

This is not a story of arrival.
It’s a story of rootedness.

Our Approach

We leaned into stillness.

Natural light. Unscripted moments. Space for the land to breathe alongside him.

The camera observes rather than narrates — allowing Melvin’s presence, and the rhythm of the farm, to carry the story.
